Born in 1956, Pandit Bhavani Shankar Kathak comes from a noble family of Jaipur Gharana and is known for his expertise in traditional art of Tabla. He is established as a top noted player of Pakhawaj from North India and has inherited this great art from his father Pandit Babulalji. He has performed with stalwarts such as Sitara Devi, Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Ustad Allah Rakha Khan, Pandit Jasraj, Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammed Rafi amongst others. He has not only been honoured by the Prime Minister of Mauritius but has also received the prestigious award 'Taal Shri' in 1986 and 'Tal Vilas' in 1996.
In this album, this maestro of Tabla effectively renders Om to enhance the benefits of exercising.
