Thrayaa which means three in Sanskrit, is considered as a significant number according to the Hindu mythology in India. It starts with the three ultimate Gods Brahma, Vishnu & Shiva; named as Trimoorthies, the three Holy Rivers-Ganga, Yamuna & Saraswathi, the three Agnies (fire) - Gaarhapathyaagni, Dakshinaagni and Aahavaneeyaagni; The Thrilokas (three worlds) The Earth, The Heaven and The Hell, The Third Eye-The Agyeya Chakra-which is supposed to be significant after Lord Shiva's Third Eye; among the seven chakras of human body, and the like.This album is named as Thrayaa as deals with three elements in which each of them has got three classifications too - The Three Gods,The Three Fires and The Three Rivers. I have approached some Sanskrit compositions written by ancient schollars like Shree Shankaracharya and Saint Pathanjali as a different musical attempt, fusing the music of the East and the West without disturbing the spiritual vibration of the Shlokas. All the compositions with more than one verse are arranged in three South Indian ragas each. Featuring great musicians like Shankar Mahadevan, Bombay Jayashree, Sharreth, Ouseppachan, Kamlakar, Durgaprasad, Jossy and Sumesh makes the album fruitful and graceful.
